With nearpod, you can create quizzes, surveys, lessons, and assignments for the students to complete on their devices.  Nearpod compiles the results for you.  As far as I have discovered so far, the quizzes only allow for multiple choice.  But the design is very nice.

The teacher must have an account, but the students do not.  However, the students do need to have the app on their device, which makes this the bottom of my list.  It would be most useful for classrooms where the devices are provided.  They will need to open the app, type in your session number and they will automatically be linked.  It goes at the students' pace.

Pros

+ students do not need to set up an account

+ nice user interface

+ can import PDF's and PowerPoints for students to read through a lesson at their own pace

Cons

- since students don't have to have an account, you have to trust them to enter their name correctly

- students must download the app

- quizzes are multiple choice only (from my experience)
